I'm still having fun mowing through my vast collection of empty Altoids tins. Today I chose to do a kitschy beach theme. I remember going to souvenir stores at the beach when I was a kid and seeing all kinds of tacky items for sale. I recently ran across some shell-encrusted salt and pepper shakers in a thrift store, and thought it would be fun to use some of the tiny shells I collected the last time I was in Florida. So without further ado, "wish you were here".

Now what to do next?
This one is a ton of fun! Very cheeky!
ReplyDeleteLOVE! LOVE! LOVE!
ReplyDeleteLOVE LOVE LOVE the Altoids repurposed. You need to give us all a tutorial...please, please, please. They are amazing =)
ReplyDeleteJennifer, I posted a tutorial on altering Altoid tins with lids here: http://kbatsel.blogspot.com/2011/02/tutorial-altered-altoid-tin.html
ReplyDeleteFor these last few I've done, I simply removed the lid and broke off the hinges. I hope that helps.
Thank you. I was having trouble but now I see my mistakes. =)
ReplyDeleteYour Altiod tins are absolutely darling. I really need to make one now!
ReplyDeleteI think that might be a good project for the NSD Crop this weekend! Thank you so much for posting the tutorial.
Happy Spring!
